Here at Microfilm Equipment and Supplies Inc., we are currently doing regular webinars to teach users about our equipment. If you’ve recently bought some equipment from us, or are thinking about do, or even if you’ve bought some equipment from our competitors and you’re just trying to learn how to use it, give us a call and find out what our webinar schedule is, and see when we will be teaching the product you are interested in learning about. Below is a look at some of the equipment we’ve discussed with participants.
Our favorite microfilm scanner: The ViewScan 4
Assembled in Meridian, Idaho by ST Imaging, the ViewScan 4 is the pinnacle of microfilm scanners. It’s precision motor and extremely high-quality image sensor mean that you can scan perfect images, time after time, with minimal effort.
In our webinars, you’ll learn how to get the most out of its performance and how to take advantage of all of its internet connectivity options to create a lasting archive of your documents, one that’s always there and backed up for life. We no longer sell older versions of the ViewScan—the ViewScan 2 and 3—but if you do have these older microfilm scanners, our webinars can still provide you some interesting and useful information, as we are experts on the entire line of ViewScan microfilm scanners.
Our Eye Com line of microfilm readers
We also give webinars on our entire line of Eye Com microfilm readers: the Eye Com 1000, 1100, 1200 and 3000. We teach you how to get the most out of these machines, what supplies you will need for their use and upkeep, how to navigate the film when reading and workflows for using these machines for research projects. Microfilm research is perhaps becoming a dying art, but it can still be crucial—especially if you have a project that requires accessing old data that cannot be retrieved by any other means.
Our next webinar is happening soon, so if you are interested in learning how to be a microfilm power user, please contact us today. We really enjoy doing these webinars, because they give us a chance to interact with our customers.
